Review:

Initially, I couldn’t get into this book, but I was sucked in by the intriguing plotline.  There’s something about it that makes you have to know “WHY”.  My complaints on the writing however, are what tipped this book from four stars to three.  Overall I felt the pace of the book lurched.  Moving forward depended on characters ‘suddenly’ remembering things, which felt forced to me.  The characters seemed to lack some personality and the combination with slang became distracting rather than adding to the book.

I am very excited to see the movie interpretation.  I believe there is great potential when able to fast-forward through some of the slightly boring sections.
