Bloodlines (Bloodlines #1)
Summary:
When alchemist Sydney is ordered into hiding to protect the life of Moroi princess Jill Dragomir, the last place she expects to be sent is a human private school in Palm Springs, California.
Populated with new faces as well as familiar ones, “Bloodlines” explores all the friendship, romance, battles, and betrayals that made the #1 New York Times bestselling Vampire Academy series so addictive--this time in a part-vampire, part-human setting where the stakes are even higher and everyone's out for blood. Review:
I don’t often fan girl over a series, but this is the one that really got to me. I LOVED “The Vampire Academy” (and still want to grow up and be as badass as Rose), but I relate so much better to Sydney. And while she is not nearly as kickass as Rose; Sydney is a fierce fighter in her own subtle way. I think she’s a very under-rated character for a lot of the Rachelle Mead fans.
I was pretty irritated with Adrian for being a whiny guy after the last series so I was thrilled to see he manages to redeem himself in this series. The Bloodlines series manages to wrap up so many open questions after the conclusion of “The Vampire Academy” that I just couldn’t get enough of them. HIGHLY recommended for fans of the series! If you haven’t read the previous series you could probably pick up here, but you may have some questions without the background.
