Review:
I admit that one strike against this book during my reading was that I had read the first two quite a long time ago and everything was not “fresh” for me. I had to flounder around a little before remembering some of the dynamics. That being said, this book doesn’t have the pop that I remember the first two having. After “Angelfall” I compulsively threw myself at reading “World After” because there was no waiting to find out what happened. When reading “World After” I remember multiple times I was on pins and needles waiting to find out how it was going to wrap up.
I will say though, Ee has outdone herself on creating new torturous creatures that will be haunting my dreams in this one. There is not another author that has created a portrayal of death that has creeped me out more, or demons that will actually give me nightmares. All in all, “End of Days” lacks the urgency that the other books have though it was satisfying to find out how everything turned out
Warning: Contains frequent violence and mild sexual content
Rating: 3 stars!
Who should read it? Folks waiting to find out the end of the series. Certainly do not read it if you haven’t read the others – you will be completely confused!
