Review:

This was a very cute book to read as an adult.   I definitely remember girls talking about this book growing up, but I had no interest at the time.  (I was too much of a tomboy.)  That being said, I think this would have been valuable to read at the age as it addresses a lot of the insecurities that come up.

One of the things I didn’t realize as a kid was the religious discussion that is throughout the book.  There is no “right” answer, but it did get me thinking a little which is valuable in a kid’s book.  I will say though – I’m glad there are more modern options for periods these days than then the ones listed in the book!
