Invasion (The Warrior Chronicles #4)

Summary:

The Hunter wasn’t trained to admit defeat.

With the title of Chosen secured, Shanti and Cayan must look to the next steps in ripping back their freedom from the most deadly tyrant in the land. Unfortunately, they aren’t the only ones with an agenda.

Without mental power to defend themselves, the Westwood Lands are trapped within their own walls. Under the threat of torture and eventual death, a new power rises.

To be discovered will mean death. But doing nothing is not an option.  (Summary and cover courtesy of goodreads.com)

Review:

I was actually a little disappointed in this continuation of the series, I was expecting the continuation of the main story rather than the hunter.  The thing that redeemed it for me, however, was the knitting circle.  That group of badass ladies had me laughing out loud and reminded me why I fell in love with the series in the first place.

We don’t actually see as much of Cayan in this installation, but rather a lot more of the supporting characters from the Westwood Lands.  I am looking forward to the next in the series, but I believe there are two more books so don’t get your hopes up TOO much yet.

Warning: Contains frequent violence and sexual content.

Rating: 4 stars!

Who should read it? Folks who are invested in the series, but otherwise I’d recommend skipping from three to five because I JUST WANT TO KNOW HOW IT ENDS.

Want to read the whole series?
