Review:
In this book, Mercy is challenges in ways that she’s never had to address before. It’s clear pretty early on that the “bad guys” are a little closer to home than she thought they might be. I liked this book in the series because it felt slightly more realistic – as much as that’s possible in a paranormal genre. It’s extremely interesting to have had a better view into what the fae are like and how they operate on their own as well.
The end of this book broke my heart, but I also see why Briggs felt it had to go that way. This one was a little more emotionally exhausting that perhaps the previous, so be prepared.
Warning: Contains repeated violence and sexual violence.
Rating: 4 stars!
