Review:
In this book we get to spend more time to Sandry as she is figuring out what her life after Winding Circle is going to be. In the middle of helping her uncle recover, she discovers a rather reluctant student, Pasco. As the two of them attempt to work together to track a killer, they both learn more about themselves and come more into the people they are going to be.
The funny thing about the Circle Opens series (as a whole) is that after excessive teaching not to use magic lightly, all the kids seem to use magic to assist in fairly minor daily tasks. I’m not complaining per-say because I enjoy that aspect of the universe, but it was something I noticed this time around. I liked seeing the world after the original quartet, but still think the characters act quite a bit older than they would at the age of 14.

Who should read it? Those young at heart and would love more about the Circle of Magic world.
