Review:
This book was highly anticipated for me and I reread all the books leading to the release. Sarah J. Maas has proven she’s not afraid to break your heart over characters! There were so many different plot lines that needed to converge which meant the beginning of the story was a little slow and the end a little rushed, but that’s to be expected. With setup over many books, it could have been much worse. I think upon future re-reads I’ll be happy with the finale. I had a similar feeling when reading “A Court of Thorns and Roses” so those who were happy with that will probably be happy with this series.
Aelin and all the core characters stayed true to themselves, and that was the most important thing to me. All in all, this quickly became one of my favorite series and it will certainly be revisited in the future.
