Summary:

Review:

“The Soulkeepers” is an engaging and interesting interpretation souls and the afterlife.  I was immediately sucked into Ching’s world and couldn’t wait to start the next book in the series.  Jacob’s lack of memories keeps you guessing about the circumstances of the crash and if he’ll see his mother again.  Dr. Silva is an allusive and fascinating character, I was never sure if I liked her or not.

 This book is certainly written with more of a young adult audience in mind, but I still found it an entertaining read.  I heard complaints about the small-town overall culture, but again I found it appropriate (and redeemed itself) with the target audience in mind.  Overall: unique and new concept.
