Review:

I think this is my favorite book in the series so far.  Sora and Crash are forced to confront quite a few awkward situations and Crash reveals his true self.  In the Lost Isles I felt like we were in an alternate version of “Lord of the Rings”, but with enough unique aspects that it didn’t feel repetitive.  I particularly liked that the Harpies are not exactly what you would expect.  Most importantly however, is that the fight with Volcrian finally comes to a head.  I was on pins and needles trying to figure out what would happen, torn between wanting to read as fast as possible and as slow as possible!

In a sense, this could have been the finale of the series, but it’s not just Volcrian that has to be stopped, it’s also the Shade.  I cannot wait to find out what happens next!

Warning: Contains violence

Rating: 5 stars!

Who should read it? Fantasy adventure fans! But start at the beginning, it’s worth it.
