Review:
In this book, we learned a lot more about the magical world which I appreciated. Both Jacob and Emilia were also forced to confront their relationship that has completely changed with the tethering. The two of them striking out on their own adventure gives them room to grow and I think they each developed a little bit. At times the characters felt a little younger than their portrayed age and others older.
Once again, this was a story that sucked me in and had me finishing the book in just a few sittings. Because of that, it’s easy to overlook some of the discrepancies and just lose yourself in the story.
Warning: Contains referenced violence (but without too much detail)
